About the Philadelphia Group |
About Us We are a group of like-minded thinkers centered near Philadelphia. We are also among those Americans who would like to see our nation regain its place as a world leader – through leadership, not coercion. Two of us stepped forward to lead this effort:
Craig Eisendrath, Ph.D. Craig Eisendrath is a former U.S. Foreign Service Officer and Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. Currently, Dr. Eisendrath is Chairman of the Project for Nuclear Awareness (http://projectfornuclearawareness.org). An award winning playwright, Dr. Eisendrath is the author of a number of books on foreign affairs, including War in Heaven: Stopping The Arms Race in Outer Space (New Press, March, 2007); Bush League Diplomacy (Prometheus, 2004), The Phantom Defense: America's Pursuit of the Star Wars Illusion (Praeger, 2001) ; and National Insecurity: U.S. Intelligence after the Cold War (Temple University Press, 2000).
Kevin Hansen Kevin Hansen is a filmmaker, environmentalist, businessman, public speaker and inventor. Producer and Director of over 50 films, Kevin is now president of Pierre Terre Productions and a sustainability activist. Kevin lived in Santa Barbara, California during the after effects of the major oil spills and wildfires of the 1960s. He was a participant in the first Earth Day in 1970 at age ten (he still has the cloth poster he made for that first Earth Day). He won back-to-back National Science Foundation scholarships for environmental research in Alaska at ages 18 and 19. Kevin's experience since has included water supply development in arid Southwestern Taiwan, Brownfield urban redevelopment projects, Green design projects, pollution remediation across Mexico/Taiwan, and natural resource protection projects in 17 states and 6 countries. With one patent already awarded (U.S. Patent #5,262,065), he was also co-founder of the Life Quality Project and is a member of several creative and activist organizations.
